Symptom

A planner can see two pending forms within their todo tile while they are a concurrent employee.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
  • SAP SuccessFactors Variable Pay

Reproducing the Issue

This occurs when you have a planner who is a concurrent employee within employee central. This is also otherwise known as being on global assignment.

Within the plan you will find there are two forms launched for the one planner under different ID's.

When someone is on global assign their ID remains the same but with a -1 at the end of the new record. For example, the home record ID would be 1234 and the assignment ID would be 1234-1.

In this scenario the tile can show the two forms depending on route map configuration.

Therefore, while you are logged in as the home record (1234) and select the form for the assignment record (1234-1) you will get a blank screen.

This happens both ways, so if you are logged in as the assignment record and selecting the form launched for the home record.

The behaviour here is different to PM.

Within PM you will not get a blank screen but redirected to the inbox.

Cause

The To-Do feature is displayed by person. This means all record numbers (ID's) for the given user will show within the tile. It will contain primary and secondary user for concurrent employees.

Resolution

This behaviour is currently expected.
