2804184 - Web Dispatcher URL requests failing on virtual hostname

Symptom

When connecting to HANA DB via http using http://<virtual_hostname>:8000/ and other URLs declared on the current defined xsengine port number , results in the web browser are hanging, with the URL request inevitably finishing with the following error :

No data received.
ERR EMPTY RESPONSE
Can not display the web page because the server did not send any data.

"



The SAP HANA XSEngine service is running fine when queried with the physical hostname and default HTTP port 80<instance> as per example :


http://<physical_hostname>:8000/
