2804245 - Application Error When Opening Offer Approval - Recruiting Management

An application error pop ups when the users are trying to open the Offer Approval of a candidate.

1. In the Job Requisition, open the candidate in the offer status.
2. Take Action button and select Offer -> Offer Approval

This application error is due to a mismatch among the Job Requistion, Application and Offer Detail templates. One of the most common mismatching are with the field-type in the fields, for e.g., in the Job Requisition, the custom field-id "weekSalary" is defined as type "text" and in the Offer Detail, the same field-id "weekSalary", which will pull the information from the Job Requisition, is defined as type "currency". Then, if the user fills the value with anything more than number value, the system won't be able to pull the information from the field in the Job Requisition and hence, an application error will occur when the user opens the Offer Approval.

Most common mismatchings and misconfigurations between the templates:

• Field Type Mismatch
• Missing Fields
• Required Attribute
• Unsupported Fields

The correction of the mismatching fields must be performed. The field should be fixed where is most appropriate, Job Requisition and Application x Offer Detail. In Provisioning, there is a validation button which can be executed whenever any upload of Offer Detail is made. The validation will be performed upon the Job Requisition and Application templates.

1. In Provisioning, go to Import/Update/Export Offer Detail Template
2. Right after uploading the Offer Detail template, click on the Validate button
3. After the validation is completed, the Show Results button will be available

The results will be similar to the following image:

NOTE: Since the issue can be related to more than one mismatching/misconfiguration, the system could throw a different FingerPrint and or have different behavior.
