2804827 - Cannot Select Custom Competencies in Manage Templates for Performance Forms and 360 Forms

Symptom

When adding custom competencies via Manage Templates, some competencies are not displaying.

Or, in case of 360 Reviews, they are not showing up in grey letters under the "Custom" checkmark.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors 360 Reviews
  • SAP SuccessFactors Job Description Manager
  • SAP SuccessFactors Center of Capabilities
  • SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to SuccessFactors
  2. Navigate to Admin Center > Tools > Manage Templates
  3. Select the Performance Review tab
  4. Select the performance form template
  5. Select the Competency or Attribute section
  6. In Section Type, select Custom
  7. Select Show advanced options...
  8. Scroll to the bottom and select Custom Competency defined. Click to modify.
  9. Select +Add Another
  10. Select an item in the Category dropdown
  11. Try to select a custom competency in the Competency dropdown, but custom competencies do not display

For 360 forms:

  1. Go to Provisioning
  2. Modify and save the 360 Form Template XML as outlined in Custom Competencies | SAP Help Portal to add Custom Competencies.
  3. Log in to SuccessFactors.
  4. Navigate to Admin Center > Tools > Manage Templates
  5. Select the 360 Reviews tab
  6. Select the 360 form template
  7. Select the Competency or Attribute section
  8. In Section Type, go see Custom.
  9. The customer competencies are not showing up in grey letters under the "Custom" checkmark.

Cause

A custom competency translation has not been configured for the Form Language in Provisioning.

Resolution

As a customer, you do not have access to Provisioning. Please engage a Certified Partner to assist with this configuration. If you do not have a Certified Partner, you can look for one using SAP Professional Services / SAP Certified Partner / SAP Account Management Team [SuccessFactors Cloud].

  1. Log in to Provisioning
  2. Select the company name
  3. Select Form Template Administration
  4. Select the form template name
  5. Locate the Form Language field and make note of the language selected
  6. Create translations for the custom competencies in the Form Language
