2804846 - Warning Message Appears While Trying to Create Scheduled Project Invoice Request

You are trying to create scheduled project invoice request for sales order and project combination, however system shows the warning message.

Warning - Scheduled invoice request not created; no relevant items found

Receives message: Action triggered; verify result in Work view in a few minutes but nothing happens after that.

1. Go to the Project Management work center
2. Go to the Projects view
3. Select the relevant Project ID
4. Select New and Project Invoice Request - Create Scheduled Project Invoice Request
5. Warning message appears

Follow the below steps to see the task if any

1. Go to Customer Invoicing Work Center.
2. Choose the Work View.
3. Choose the relevant task associated to our project or sales order
4. You can see the task Solve Issue When Creating Project Invoice Request - Creation of project invoice request failed.
5. Choose the Edit button.
6. You will see the application log XXXXX (XXXXXX represents the application log ID).
7. Go to Results tab here you can see the error

If the project has another sales order which also has the invoice scheduled on the same date as your current sales order then system will raise the warning message. cause at any given point of time for a project system can create one invoice request only to avoid the duplication of time and expenses.

So there is an open task being created in work sub view of Invoice Preparation view under project management work center and you need to take actions on this task. If you open the task, you will come to know the error from the application log.

Task - Solve Issue When Creating Project Invoice Request

Application Log:
Project invoice request not created
Cannot create; project used in open request of another sales order

You can follow the below steps to create scheduled project invoice request manually

1. Go to the Project Management work center
2. Go to the Invoice Preparation view
3. Select the Work view
4. Search the Open Task based on Sales Order ID
5. You will get an Open Task stating - Solve Issue When Creating Project Invoice Request
6. Complete the Task from Actions button(complete all tasks related to the project)
7. Go to the Project Management work center
8. Go to the Projects view
9. Select the relevant Project ID
10. Select New and Project Invoice Request - Create Scheduled Project Invoice Request

 In future to avoid this issue, please schedule the invoice schedule dates of sales orders differently that belong to same project.
