2806202 - When Trying to add Products to Opportunity, the Desired Quantity is not Available

You are trying to add products to the opportunity. But you can't change the unit of measure of the quantity of the product.

The unit of measure of the quantity you are looking for is not available in the drop-down menu.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Sales work center
2. Select tab Opportunity
3. Search for the opportunity
4. Click on the name to open it
5. Select tab Products
6. Click on Add
7. Search for the product
8. You are unable to change the unit of measure for the quantity of the product. The desired unit of measure of the quantity is not available from the drop - down menu

If you change the order of the step and add first the unit of measure for the quantity and then the product, an error will occur. Error: Process quantity unit is not valid.

The error occurs as the product master data has different quantities maintained and/or no quantity conversion is maintained for product. Hence, the opportunity throws an error.

You need to maintain the quantities in the section Quantity Conversion in the tab Overview of the product. To maintain the quantities in the section Quantity Conversion, you need to go to Product Administration tab and maintain the quantities there.
