2806854 - Not possible to copy data with daily granularity to monthly granularity using automatically generated copy rules in data action SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

It is not possible to copy data from a model with daily granularity to a model with monthly granularity using automatically generated copy rules in data action for accounts that are defined with an AVG exception aggregation in regards to time.

The expectation is that the monthly AVG value is copied and not the single values of every day of the month.

Create a Data Action to copy data from a model with day granularity to one with monthly granularity.

Use option to automatically generate copy rules

Execute the data action from within a story. Data from each day will be summed rather than copying the monthly average to the monthly model.

This functionality is not yet available.

It has been added to our backlog of potential features to be developed.

As a workaround, if dedicated copy rules for each month are created the avg aggregation copy works.
