Symptom
Adding Individual Work Schedule or Temporary Work Schedule change throws "Temporary time information already exists for this period" error
Environment
Employee Central Time Off
Reproducing the Issue
1. Go to Administer Time For... (user)
2. Add a New Temporary Change of Work Schedule or Individual Work Schedule to a user
3. System does not allow you to Save the change with message "Temporary time information already exists for this period"
Cause
This is an expected system validation.
System does not allow creation of New Temporary Change of Work Schedule or Individual Work Schedule if an existing temporary change overlaps with the period of the new temporary change.
Resolution
You need to delete the existing Temporary Changes from Manage Data/Manage Time Off Structures first before you can add a new New Temporary Change of Work Schedule or Individual Work Schedule
