2807296 - Product Type VERP ( Packaging ) or WERB (Product catalogs 'advertising media') missing in the SSCUI 103539 'Define Attributes of Material Types' - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • Unable to create Products with the Product Type Packaging (VERP) in the Apps "Create Material" or "Manage Product Master Data"
  • The Standard Product Type Packaging (VERP) is missing in the SSCUI 103539 'Define Attributes of Material Types'
  • The Standrard Material Type  Packaging (VERP) is available in an ERP OnPremise System but not S4HANA Cloud
  • The Standard Product Type Advertising Media WERB is available in an ERP OnPremise System but not S4HANA Cloud

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the App "Manage your solution"
  2. Open "Configure your solution" and search for the SSCUI 103539 'Define Attributes of Material Types'
  3. The Product Type  Packaging ( VERP  ) or Advertising Media  (WERB ) is missing .

Cause

Scope items not activated.

Resolution

The Product Type VERP is available with the Activation of one of the  following Scope items.

These scope items are 'Non Standard' and are excluded from default activation

2YL -SAP EWM Integration - Warehouse Stock Handling
2VO -SAP EWM Integration - Customer Returns
2VN -SAP EWM Integration - Batch Management
2VM -SAP EWM Integration - Delivery-Based Production Integration
2VL- SAP EWM Integration - Stock Transport Orders
2VK- SAP EWM Integration - Outbound Processing to Customer
2VJ- SAP EWM Integration - Inbound Processing from Supplier

If activate Scope items relating for EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), it is suggested to follow the KBA 2775882 and copy another Product Type to create VERP in the SSCUI 103539 'Define Attributes of Material Types'.

The Product Type Advertising Media  (WERB) is a Retail Product Type found in an On Premise system. Retail  is currently not supported in Cloud which is why the Product type is not available.
