How to Customize Dependents Information Portlet?

Dependents Information comprises of hris-element personRelationshipInfo and fields reused from other hris-elements personalInfo, personInfo, nationalIdCard and homeAddress. You can disable homeAddress and nationalIdCard hris-elemets completely in the dependent information UI if required (Find more information regarding this in the KBA 2580598 - Disable Sections in the Dependents Portlet), but you cannot completely remove the personalInfo and personInfo hris-elements from the Dependents UI. However you can decide on the fields inherited from these portlets by disabling or adjusting the visibility of the fields. This can be achieved by configuring Dependent person type under respective hris-element in BCUI. To understand how to add person type and the fields inherited from each elements refer to Optional: Defining Separate Fields for Dependents and Employees section of the Dependents implementation handbook. Below three fields you cannot disable as they are mandatory for dependents.

You can add custom fields as you required in the personRelationshipInfo element and the custom fields in the personalInfo element will be reused as well, this way you can achive the desired requirement.

In the below example all the fields in personInfo_dependent are disabled, hence you can see a blank biographical information section in the Dependents UI which cannot be removed.
