2807766 - Character Limit Ticket Subject


When creating a Ticket, you receive the error message: Your entry is too long. Do not enter more than 255 character(s).

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go the Service work center.
  2. Select the Tickets view.
  3. Click on New.
  4. On the Subject field, type in the ticket subject with more than 255 charactets.
  5. Error "Your entry is too long. Do not enter more than 255 character(s)." is shown.


There is a limit of 255 characters for the Subject field in Tickets.

Besides, if the Subject has more than 101 characters, it will be split into two or more lines.


This is the system expected behavior.
