2808141 - Error: Could not get rejected rows. Could not download rejected rows in CSV format, when downloading the rejected rows in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) after an export from BPC NW.

The following error message occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) after exporting data from BPC NW :

• Could not get rejected rows. Could not download rejected rows in CSV format, Please try again.

In this case there are 4994 rows rejected. For a second export with only 5 reject rows, the Download
Rejected works fine.

This is related to some setting in BPC system.

Referring to the later part of consulting note 928044, due to the ways BPC leveraging BW lock server during writeback, "which generally also leads to a large number of lock requests with large selections. If you use SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, you should define settings for the number of lock attempts and the wait time in seconds in expert mode in transaction RSPLSE."

To change the settings for the “number of lock attempts” and the “wait time in seconds”, you may refer to former part of the same note:

Go to transaction “RSPLSE”, enter expert mode by use ok_code “EXPERT”. And then you may find in “Lock table” tab, the current setting for “Lock Attempts” and “Wait Time in Seconds” are 0 (Please refer to the attached screenshot for current setting in the same Note 928044). I think these setting may have high possibility to introduce the situation that the lock server is locked when parallel writeback happens in BPC. (In SAC writeback case, 5 processes for around 5000 data each will occur in parallel). Thus, please refer to the suggested setting mentioned in the note: to set “Lock attempts” to 3 and “Wait time in Seconds” to 5.

Change the configuration as above and retry your export job.
