2808328 - The Last Date Worked Field in Termination Details - Employee Central

Symptom

This article clarifies a few things about the "Last Date Worked" field in the Termination Details of an employee.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Resolution

  • It is not possible to delete or manually correct the Last Date Worked. This is expected behavior and prevents Termination Details from displaying and aligning with incorrect data;
  • Termination Details are not Effective Dated;
  • Regardless of how many Job Info records the employee has with the Event Termination, there is only 1 Termination Details record kept in the system;
  • Once you Rehire an employee, Termination Details are no longer displayed in the Hire/Rehire's UI until the employee is Terminated again. This is also expected behaviour and the data will remain in the database;
  • For any terminated employee, Termination Details are maintained in the Termination portlet;
  • For a rehire, the past termination is maintained as a termination record in Job History;
  • The Last Date Worked is tied to an employee's past employment. Last Date worked is also tied to the Payroll End Date, Salary End Date and Benefits End Date of that particular employment/termination record. This is ideally the termination date of the employment record;
  • This date is populated for all the rehires who are rehired with the same employment and this field is not visible for rehires with new employment;
  • If it is necessary to use this field for any integration purposes, copy it to another custom field, then use the custom field;
  • For changes in configuration be sure to engage Professional Services or an Implementation Partner.
