• When the "Edit link" option is disabled, the Edit/History icon is not visible in the UI- based on the permissions.
• Edit Link with View Current/History and Edit/Insert will enable the Edit link.
• Edit Link with only View Current/History doesn't have any use case.
• Edit Link with Correct/Delete doesn't have any use case.
• With the Edit Link (Edit/Insert) permission, a new effective record can be created same as from History page (Edit/Insert) permission.
