2809274 - Signal 11 in pthread_cond_destroy() - SAP ASE HADR

Symptom

  • A client connection is unexpectedly terminated on the DR server of an SAP ASE HADR system.
  • The DR server may crash due to this error
  • The ASE errorlog contains an "infected with signal 11" error in the module pthread_cond_destroy() with a stack trace:

Current process (0x0) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00007ffff6d5d417 (pthread_cond_destroy+0x27), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000e00000033) 

  • The stack trace includes the following functions:

pthread_cond_destroy
sybnet_dealloc_ep
sybnet__async_poll
