2810456 - Time Sheet Validation Scenario (Deprecated) - Using new validation scenario

While creating a Time sheet validation business rule, an option with the following scenario appears:

Time Sheet Validation (Deprecated)

This Time Sheet Validation rule scenario is deprecated and will be removed soon. You should use the new Time Sheet Validation rule scenario instead, which provides better performance.

This KBA provides more information on the validation scenario and how customers should use this going forward.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Sheet

1. Navigate to Configure Business Rules -> Create new rule
2. A validation scenario appears as displayed below:

• This Rule scenario is being deprecated, all the new rules should be created using the new Time Sheet Validation Rule Scenario.
• The Engineering team plans on hiding the deprecated scenario completely and making a script available in upgrade center to migrate all the old rules to the new one. Currently there is no fix date available for it. Once it is implemented, the same will be updated in the KBA and release notes
• So the rules defined with deprecated scenario will be supported and work as before seamlessly before and after migration, no rules need to be re-written now.
• However, the following constraints need to be considered while creating a Business rule with the new scenario :

1. Never set the If condition to always true.
2. Raise a message only with severity Error (Warning, Info severities were also not supported for the deprecated rule)
3. Context user is not supported (and also was not supported in the deprecated rule)
