Symptom

  • An error occurs in the phase PREP_INPUT_CHECK/KERNEL_PRE of an upgrade using the Software Update Manager (SUM) in Database Migration Option (DMO) scenario
  • The error message found in the log file KERNELPRE.LOG is similar to:

No suitable SAP Kernel archive for platform WINDOWS_X86_64 was found in the download directory
