Symptom
When doing a split to Lump Sum in a compensation worksheet, the regular system behavior is not working when proxied as the planner or manager:
Basic salary is above the maximum of the range. Please consider revisiong the increase recommendation or making a lump sum recommendation.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
- SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Compensation Module
- Executive Review (Team Member Summary View tab)
- Select template and check managers Team View filter
- Edit any employee’s merit increase to 1000% to see it will split to lump sum
- Proxy as manager, then repeat steps above (via inbox or exec review) for the same employee/s
- Notice it did not split to lump sum
Cause
- The user does not have read and write access to the LumpSum% (Standard) field, thus the Merit to Lumpsum split would not work on that manager.
- For the salary rule to trigger, at minimum the read permission should be given to Lumpsum.
Resolution
Enable read-write permissions for the manager via Role Based Permissions (RBP).
