2811708 - Academic Title not Translated to the Customer Language

You wonder why the academic title is not translated to the customer language.

1. Go to Account Management work center
2. Search for the account and click on Edit
3. Note: Language that is used in written and verbal communication is set to the desired language
4. Go to Business Configuration work center
5. Click on Implementations Project and select Implementation Project
6. Open Activity List
7. Search for activity General Business Partners and open it
8. Click on Maintain Academic Titles
9. Select the appropriate academic title
10. Click on Translate
11. Note: Academic title is translated to the target language
12. Go to Customer Invoicing work center
13. Click on Invoice Documents
14. Search for the invoice
15. Click on Preview
16. Note: Academic title is not translated

Academic titles are not language dependent. An academic title like "Dr." or "Dipl. Ing." is more like a part of the name. Therefore, it is usually not translated.

To overcome the problem, you could create additional entries in Business Configuration > General Business Partners > Maintain Academic Titles that use the title in the desired languages
