2811880 - Remove the Key field from CDS view type is not allowed

Symptom

Unable to remove a key field from CDS view.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 1905

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Using Custrom CDS tile application, create a CDS view
  2. Data Source use any CDS view
  3. Key fields are added automatically
  4. Unable to remove key field

Cause

This is expected behavior.

Resolution

When a Custom CDS View is in use by other objects e.g. by analytical query, the key of custom CDS View cannot be changed anymore. Otherwise it would be an incompatible change. Custom CDS View must have at least one key field.
