Symptom

Will import job be re-run automatically when the schedule runs during wave update in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Schedule import jobs and run daily schedule.
  2. The import job runs in the wave update day as well.

Cause

When SAC is put into maintenance mode, the XS scheduler should still be enabled. That means the schedules will contain to run.
However, depending on what changes are done in XS code (and based on when the new code is deployed), the schedule may or may not succeed.
In any way, the schedule will not be re-run.

Resolution

Run daily schedule outside of typical maintenance window is recommended.
Or have schedules every 12 hours in which case they will likely have at least one go though.
