2812624 - Succession Org Chart - Nominations/Successors for TBH Positions not visible

Successors and Nominees are not visible on the Succession Org Chart for To Be Hired (TBH) or Vacant Positions, however an Admin my see the Successors or Nominees or they may be seen in Ad-Hoc reporting.

SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development

1. Go to Succession Org Chart, search for the TBH Position. Successors or Nominees are not visible.
2. Go to Adhoc Report, filter for the Position Code of TBH Position and include Nominee user information fields, you'll be able to verify that there is indeed Nominees for the Position.
3. Another way to verify is through Super Admin with Succession Management and Matrix Report permission granted to "All" users, he/she can see the nominees/successors in SOC.

Limitation in Legacy Nomination Method Architecture and RBP Permission Model.

With legacy positions, all target populations for the allowed positions are defined by using user-parameters in the user target population of RBP. Therefore, if there is no user assigned as with the TBH positions, it cannot be controlled by hierarchy to which positions you have access.

This is the expected behavior and no workaround is available. Unless you grant Succession Management and Matrix Report permission with Target population set to "Everyone" in the given permission role or upgrade to MDF Position Nomination method.

This was one big benefit when MDF Position Nomination method was introduced to have the ability to control also the target population through the Position object. More details about MDF Position Permissions is described in KBA 2202816
