2812709 - How to make benefits available for adding to cart?


A few benefits have "Select Benefit" button available to add them in cart. However, a few other benefits have "Enroll Now" button to enroll them directly without adding in cart. How to add them in cart?

Reproducing the Issue

Navigate to an employee's Profile > Benefits section > Go to Benefits:SelectBenefitNotAvailable.jpg


When open enrollment feature is enabled, benefits will get the button label as "Select Benefit’" Because in Open enrollment, employee selects multiple benefits and add them to cart. From the cart enrollment will happen for all the selected benefits at once.

For the benefits which are not part of Open Enrollment Configuration, the button label shows "Enroll Now" as the enrollment happens per benefit.


  1. Navigate to Admin Center > Benefits Admin Overview.
  2. Search for Benefit Open Enrollment Configuration.
  3. Add the benefit in question to the correct Open Enrollment Configuration as per Schedule, Legal Entity, Instruction Link, Link to Terms and Conditions and Cart Workflow. If there is no such existing Open Enrollment Configuration, then create one.
  4. Now, this benefit is available with "Select Benefit" button as shown below:

NOTE: When benefits are enrolled through the cart, the workflow defined for cart in Benefit Open Enrollment Configuration gets trigerred instead of the workflows defined in the individual workflow level.
