2813446 - Extension Field Value is not copied from Invoice Template to Supplier Invoice

You have maintained some data in a supplier invoice template (say XXX).

However this data does not appear in a supplier invoice which has for reference document the invoice template XXX.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the work center Supplier Invoicing.
2. Select Invoice and Credit Memo.
3. Use the filter Template.
4. Select and open the template XXX.
5. From here you can see that this template is for the product say YYY.
6. This template contains an extension field "PPP" which is already filled with a value.

However,

1. Go to the work center Supplier Invoicing.
2. Select Invoice and credit memos view.
3. Search and open a supplier invoice that contains the product YYY.
4. From the General tab, you can see that the reference document is Invoice Template XXX.
5. When going to the Items tab, that the extension field "PPP" is present but does not contain any information, nothing has been fetched from the template XXX.

OR

1. Go to the work center Supplier Invoicing work center
2. Select New Invoice without purchase order
3. On the New invoice screen, enter template ID XXX and click update template. 
4. Navigate to Items tab and check the extension field.
5. The field is available but the content is not fetched from template to the invoice screen

For extension field value to be copied from an invoice template to an invoice, an extension scenario needs to be created between the invoice template and the supplier invoice.

This functionality currently does not exist.

You can use the following work around:

Go to  supplier invoice work center->invoices and credit memos view->select templates from drop down->select the template id-> click on new document from template.
It will copy the extension field description.
