2813609 - Former Approved Leave gets cancelled when the edited change is declined by the Approver

Symptom

  • When rejecting an edit of a LOA, system cancels the former approved Leave of Absence.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Edit the Approved Leave
  2. Change the date and save
  3. System will trigger the approval
  4. Approver declines the data change
  5. System cancels the former approved Leave instead of cancelling only the data change.

Cause

  • Working as Designed

Resolution

  • It is an expected behavior. Former Approved leave also gets cancelled even if the approver declines only the edited data change.
