2814006 - Is it Possible to not default Manager when changing an employee's position?

Symptom

When changing the employee position you want the Manager to not be set by default as the Parent Position incumbent.

Environment

Employee Central - Position Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Employee Profile
  2. Under Job Info History click Insert a new record
  3. Assign a new position
  4. Check that manager field is not propagated with the expected Manager from the Higher Level Position

Or

  1. Navigate to Add New Employee 
  2. Select a Position (the Higher Level Position should have an Incumbant assigned)
  3. Check that the Manager field is not propagated as expected

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Admin Center 
  2. Position Management Settings 
  3. Hierarchy Adaptation tab
  4. In the option "Default The Supervisor Or The Position In Hire, MSS Job Information And History" select No
  5. Save

NOTE: Changing this option affects the whole instance. There is no option where we could select only a few countries to be affected.
