2814079 - Error: "Internal error - Failed to create export data scenario" While Trying to Export Data for any Object in Data Workbench

Your requirement is to Export data using Data Workbench. For any Data Workbench object in system, upon selecting the Export Data button on the Export view, you see the below error:

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Data Workbench workcenter
2. Go to the Export view
3. Search for any object
4. Do not apply any filter criteria
5. Select Next
6. Select Yes
7. Select Export Data
8. System throws the mentioned error

The logged in user does not have Write access to Data Workbench Export scenario and hence it fails to create the Export scenario.

You may check the Access Restrictions for the User by following the below steps:

1. Go to Administrator work center
2. Go to Business Users view
3. Find any Business User
4. Select Edit->Access Rights
5. Go to Access Restrictions tab

For the Work Center Name Data Workbench, you see Unrestricted Read Access for all the views in Data Workbench. Further, Unrestricted Write Access for Monitor, Import, Migration Templates views in Data Workbench. But for the Export View, there is No Access for Write Access.

If the logged in user does not have Write access to the respective views Monitor, Import, Export, Migration Templates in Data Workbench workcenter, then the user will not be able to create the respective scenarios in the views. Depending on the business requirement, the Administrator can assign the required Access Restrictions for the Business User.
