Symptom

  • After an upgrade, sp_version output shows an "incomplete" status for installmaster

  • updatease runs with errors as shown in ASE_Suite.log

Status: ERROR

                          Additional Notes: ERROR - The installer could not update SAP ASE 'ASE_Instance_Name'.  Correct the errors described in output file 'C:\SAP\ASE16\log\updatease.out', then run 'C:\SapASE16\ASE-16_0\bin\updatease.exe -DC:\SapASE16 -SASE_Instance_Name'.
