Symptom
An employee submits time sheet for the current week and the notification sent to the manager shows the EVENT_REASON as 'Correct Employee Time Sheet'
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Sheet
Reproducing the Issue
1. Choose an employee with positive time recording
2. Submit the time sheet for this user for the current week
3. The notification received by the manager will have the EVENT_REASON tag as 'Correct Employee Time Sheet'
Cause
- The generate time sheet job creates a blank time sheet at the start of each week. This can be checked by clicking on 'Trace' button in the time sheet UI. If there is an external code appearing in the trace then a blank employee time sheet has been generated for the week.
- So, when the employee goes and updates his time sheet, the blank employee time sheet is replaced. Hence instead of CREATE, the event reason shows CORRECT.
Resolution
- This is an expected behavior.
- Currently, for positive and negative time recording profiles, the time sheet generate job will generate time sheets at the start of the week. Only for Overtime time recording profiles will this behavior not be seen.
