2815525 - The Error Message "Enter the organizational role code Customer Service in master data for service org. ABC" Is Displayed on Sales Order

You are facing the error message "Enter the organizational role code Customer Service in master data for service org. ABC" when you open the sales order DEF (DEF represents the Sales Order ID), but you checked and the "Sales" flag is set for Org. Unit ABC (ABC represents the Org. Unit ID).

Also, if you create a copy of this order or a new one using the Org. Unit ABC, this error message is not displayed for newly created order XYZ (XYZ represents the order ID).

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Sales work center.
2. Go to the Sales Orders view.
3. Open the order DEF.
4. The error message "Enter the organizational role code Customer Service in master data for service org. ABC" is raised.

In Organizational Management > Org. Unit, for unit ID ABC, Service and Service Organization fields are not marked and because of which, the newly created sales orders will not be able to validate/check these fields. Hence, you will not get the error for order XYZ.

But for order DEF, it has been created in the past and until this date, Service and Service Organization fields were marked in the Org. Unit ABC. This can be validated by navigating to Changes facet of the Org. Unit ABC.

This is the expected system behavior.

The order DEF is inconsistent for Service Organization and you get the error.
