2815612 - Discover CA Introscope fails with error "Cannot save new EM installation , because the EMM port is empty"

Symptom

  •  When performing the Discover CA Introscope step of SOLMAN_SETUP, the following error appears:

    Unexpected error occurs in method AddExistingInstallation 
    (caused by: Cannot register the EM installation due to RemoteException 
    /usr/sap/ccms/MOMTW1/current-com.sap.smd.agent.wily.emsetup.exception.EMInstallationStorageException: 
    Cannot save new EM installation , because the EMM port is empty).
  • In the SMDAgentApplication.log in debug level you can also see the error:

    May 17, 2019 9:30:04 AM [Thread[Thread-58397,5,main] ] Error Cannot register the EM              installation due to RemoteException /usr/sap/ccms/apmintroscope

    [EXCEPTION] com.sap.smd.agent.wily.emsetup.exception.EMInstallationStorageException:            Cannot save new EM installation , because the EMM port is empty
