2815667 - Duplicate records in Advanced reporting for Personal and Global Information tables - Data Issue

• One or more users have duplicate records in Advanced Reporting (ODS) both in Personal Information and Global Job Information objects.
• In the report, these records have different start data but the same end date - 31st of December 9999

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
• Online Report Designer / Report - Canvas: Advanced reporting

1. Login to the instance
2. Navigate to Reporting
3. Build a Report - Canvas and choose data source as Advanced Reporting 
4. Fetch the affected users data from Personal Information OR Global Job Information object
5. Both the objects will have multiple records for the user 

Personal Information 

• The user(s) have more than 1 record with the Effective End Date "12/31/9999" for the Personal Information record.

Global Job Information

• The user(s) have more than 1 record with the Effective End Date "12/31/9999" for the Job Information record
  or
• The same cause as Personal Info.
  Job Info object is internally joined to Personal Information and hence the ripple effect.

The actual cause for such corrupt data to persist in the first place - A data import had been performed earlier, with manual entries for the effective end date field

• The solution is to perform a Full Purge import of the data as there is no way to correct the end-date manually either via the UI or Incremental Import.
• Regardless of which check returned errors, the resolution is always the same - Full Purge Import of the related data without any information entered in the End Date columns (Just leave them blank and let the system auto populate the information). 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please ensure that you take a backup of the existing data before performing any Full Purge imports.
Full Purge import will delete ALL the data for that HRIS Element and replace it with the data from the import file.

For Data issues with Personal Information:

1. Create a "Person and Employment Export" Ad Hoc Report, and only select columns from the personal info column set.
2. Filter the report as needed and then generate it and save the file somewhere safe.
3. Navigate to Admin Center > Import and Export Data > download the Import Template for Personal Information.
4. Perform a Full Purge import the Personal Info data for the user.

For Data issues with Job Information:

1. Create a "Person and Employment Export" Ad Hoc Report, and only select columns from the Job info column set.
2. Filter the report as needed and then generate it and save the file somewhere safe.
3. Navigate to Admin Center > Import and Export Data > download the Import Template for Job Information.
4. Perform a Full Purge import the Job Info data for the user.
