2816011 - Report Hierarchy Not Working

You have saved a hierarchy to your report to show expanded results but after saving your view the hierarchy is not expanded.

• SAP Cloud For Customer
• SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to any report and open it.
2. Click on the cog wheel icon and then click on Table Settings.
3. You set the hierarchy settings at the table level.
4. Save the view.
5. You notice that the hierarchy is not saved.

You have set the hierarchy settings at the table level and not on the characteristic.

To show expanded hierarchy, you need to set the hierarchy on the actual characteristic and not on the table. To do this follow the below steps:

For Business ByDesign

1. Open any report and run it.
2. Click on the View button.
3. Click on the 3 dots ... next to the characteristic.
4. Click on characteristic Settings.
5. Set the hierarchy to what you want.
6. Save the view.

In Cloud For Customer

1. Open any report and run it.
2. Click on the Rows and Columns tab.
3. Click on the 3 dots ... next to the characteristic.
4. Click on Characteristic Settings.
5. Set the hierarchy to what you want.
6. Save the view.
