2817935 - The system does not validate Tax Numbers

Symptom

You enter a tax number which is not valid for the tax country. However, the system does not inform that this tax number is not valid.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Customers work center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. Open an account.
  4. Go to the Tax Numbers facet.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Maintain a number that is not valid for the selected country.
    RESULT: The system does not trigger any message informing you that the tax number is not valid.

Cause

No validations are available for tax numbers in the cloud solution. Appropriate validations are however available in the ERP on premise system.

Resolution

You can add validations using the SAP Cloud Applications Studio.
