2818808 - Msg 1105, Level 17, State 2 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Error similar as below either reported in ASE errorlog or on application side, but there is indeed large free space per sp_helpdb output,

Msg 1105, Level 17, State 2:
Server 'server_name', Procedure 'procedure_name', Line 57:
Can't allocate space for object 'obejct_name' in database 'dbname' because 'default' segment is full/has no free extents. If you ran out of space in syslogs, dump the transaction log. Otherwise, use ALTER DATABASE to increase the size of the segment.
(return status = -7)

  • Use dbcc usedextents per KBA below didn't solve the issue.
