2818870 - Employee Appears in Resource Profile View, but not in Resource Search View of Resource Management Work Center, Even Though Job Not Excluded

You don’t know why a specific employee does not appear in the Resource Search view of the Resource Management work center. You see the same employee in the Resource Profile view of the Resource Management work center.

You might find the employee in the Resource Search view of the Resource Management work center, but a message at the bottom of the page appears.

Message: Working days are not determined; check work schedule for XXX (where XXX is the employee)

1. Go to Resource Management work center
2. Click on Resource Profile view
3. Click on Open Advanced Filter
4. Select All Resources
5. Select Group By None
6. Search for the employee by name
7. Click on Go
8. Note: The employee is listed in the results
9. Click on Resource Search view
10. Select All Resources
11. Search for the employee by name
12. Note: The employee is not listed in the results

The system behaviour is as expected. All employees that don’t have available time are not listed in the Resource Search view of the Resource Management work center. In the Resource Search view, you can search for available employees that are free to work on a particular project. You can search for the project period and it will show you all employees that are available to work on the project. Only employees that are free are listed here.

Employees that don’t have available time are still listed in the Resource Profile view of the Resource Management work center.

You can check the availability of an employee as follows:

1. Go to Resource Management work center
2. Click on Resource Profile view
3. Search for the employee
4. Click on Edit > Resource Profile
5. Click on the tab Availability
6. In the Section Resource Availability, you will see whether there is any availability maintained for an employee, or whether the employee is available, off, overbooked, absent, fully booked, etc.

In case an employee does not appear in the Resource Search view, although times are available, a refresh of the data in backend may be required. Please open an incident.
