2819055 - Restricted Key Figure Shows No Value

You create a restricted key figure and add it to a report. The key figure shows 0 or no value at all, even though the restriction is fulfilled and there should be data.

1. Go to the work center Business Analytics and the view Design Reports.
2. Open your report.
3. Select the view which contains your restricted key figure.
4. The value is wrong. The key figure does not show anything even though the restriction is fulfilled.

The field you are using for the restriction contains numerous values, as it would be the case in an extension field of the type Multivalued List, for example. The field contains values that are longer than 60 characters. Due to the restriction of 60 characters per report field (see KBA 2586974), any value longer than this cannot be considered. This is also the case if you extend the text to 1024 characters.

For example:

You use an extension field ABC to restrict your key figure, and you restrict it for the value 1500 (for example). ABC is a multivalued list and contains lots of entries: 1000, 1001, 1002, 1003,... and so on. The value 1500 is listed at the end of this list, after the first 60 characters. The list of values which the key figure can consider is capped at 60 characters and so 1500 will not be considered for the key figure restriction.
