2819606 - Error "Finishing of production tasks failed" appears when trying to change the Check Task Status to Finish with Zero quantity

You are trying to confirm Check task DEF with zero quantity and trying to change the Check task status to finish.*DEF indicates Production Check Task ID

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Production Control Work Center
2. Navigate to Task Control View
3. Search for DEF
4. Select Change Status as Finish
5. A new Pop up screen appears "Input Parameters for Finish Task"
6. Check for "Set all Confirmation Finished Indicators" and Select OK
7. Error appears

Finishing of production tasks failed

-----> Finishing of confirmation group failed

Save failed

As the proposed quantities that are based on inspection results are not transferred to production Lot, this is causing the issue.

(When the production order is released, the system creates a production lot and releases the corresponding inspection.
The system also creates a production task of the type Check and links this to the inspection.)

By choosing Finish Results Recording,The proposed quantities that are based on the results are then transferred to the production lot.

 In order to solve the error and to change the Check Task Status to Finished with Zero quantity.Follow the below steps

1. Go to Production Control Work Center
2. Navigate to Task Control View
3. Search for DEF
4. Select Confirm
5. Select Finish Results Recording
6. Select Finish task
7. Select Save
