Symptom

Users facing error "Unable to fetch existing request" on Instance Refresh page.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. User go to Admin Center
  2. Search for Instance Refresh
  3. Error pop-ups:

Resolution

Besides requesting your Implementation Partner or SAP Support to run the back-end jobs for Company Schema Upgrade Job and Company Data Migrate Job, you need to make sure that user has also the following RBP permissions:

  1. Manage Integration Tools -> Access to OData API Metadata Refresh and Export
  2. Metadata Framework -> Admin access to MDF OData API
  3. Manage Instance Refresh -> View Refresh requests & Manage Refresh

After confirming user has the permissions above and running the jobs mentioned, please follow the next steps:

  1. Go to Admin Center > search for OData API Metadata Refresh and Export
  2. Perform a Refresh Metadata Cache
  3. Navigate again to Instance Refresh page and the issue should not occur anymore.
