2820079 - Time Accounts not Created for Rehired Employees despite running calendars

Symptom

  • Employees were terminated at the beginning of the year and the Time accounts were set to closed. Those employees were re hired again with new hire date within the same account validity period
  • The time accounts for accrual based leave types were not generated automatically.
  • When run manually, Time off calendars > New Calendar> Account creation scenario, there are no time accounts created either.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite- All Versions
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - All Versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Terminate an Employee and the Time Accounts are closed (Via the PEP Rule)
  2. Rehire the EE within the account validity period
  3. The Time accounts are not created despite running the Account creation calendars

Cause

This is an expected behavior

Resolution

  • Since the time profile of the user did not change at the time of rehire, the system will still use the same time account type.
  • If you need the time accounts to be created at the time of rehire, the user's time profile must at least be changed to another time profile.
  • If you require the same time account to be used, you'll need to reopen it and run the accrual calendar manually to create accruals.
  • If the remaining balance as of termination date is to be forfeited, a negative manual adjustment posting should be created on the termination day of the user.
