2820542 - Error "Only One CommunicationData.ROOT Permitted" During Import of Customers Collaboration Data Via Mass Data Maintenance

Symptom

You are importing Collaboration data of accounts via Mass Data Maintenance, however the process is failing with below error:

"Only one CommunicationData.ROOT permitted"

Environment

SAP Business Bydesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center;
  2. Click on 'Import Customers';
  3. Upload the file;
  4. Change the Tab to 'Collaboration';
  5. Click on Upload;
  6. Click on Execute Data Import -> Immediately;
  7. The process will end with below error:
    "Only one CommunicationData.ROOT permitted"

Cause

The issue is caused by the records that have multiple e-mails (per document type), which is currently not supported in the system.

Resolution

Currently, the process for uploading entries with more than one e-mail is to do it in the UI.
