2820579 - Deactivate Event-base Revenue Recognition postings

You don't want to have Event-based Revenue Recognition postings that are generated simultaneously with the transactions.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Event-based Revenue Recognition function is active by default.

As for blocking revenue recognition posting for objects, you could have a look at suggestions for the following situations:

1. If you want to block postings for new objects, you need to make sure that there is no Recognition Key assigned to the objects.
    To do this, you have to remove all the Recognition Key via below SSCUIs, leave them as blank.

• 102517 Derivation of Recognition Key for Projects
• 102968 Derivation of Recognition Key for Service Documents
• 103198 Derivation of Recognition Key for Sales from Stock

    And once no Recognition Key is assigned to a project/item, it will NOT post revenue documents.

2. If there are existing revenue recognition postings and you want to cancel these postings, you need to replace this Recognition Key with the Corresponding "No rev rec" key using one of the monitoring apps Revenue Recognition (Event-Based) and run Period End Closing again to clear the posting. You need also to use App Revenue Recognition Reversal to reverse all the documents generated in event-based revenue recognition previously.
There is new revenue recognition key introduced, NONREV - Non rev rec.
Kindly consider to change recognition keys to NONREV for existing objects and run revenue recognition to clear the revenue postings.

• from SPTM to SPNTM Time and Material DIP based: No Rev Rec
• from SPPC to SPNPC Periodic Services No Rev Rec

For scenario Sell from Stock (Derivation of Recognition Key for Sales from Stock)

• Update Recognition key 'SFS' to SFSN

For Service documents Derivation of Recognition Key for Service Documents

• from CCS to CCSN Periodic Services Contracts-No Rev Rec
• from CCOCC to CCONCC No Rev Rec -Service Order

For EPPM Projects (Derivation of Recognition Key for Projects)

• from EPMFC to EPMNC: EPM Project No Rev Rec
