2820752 - Customer Information or Internal Comment were Not Passed from Customer Invoice to Journal Entry

Symptom

You have maintained Customer Information ABC (where ABC stands for Customer Information) and Internal Comment EFG (where EFG stands for Internal Comment) in the Customer Invoice XXX (where XXX stands for Customer Invoice document), but Customer Information ABC or Internal Comment EFG are not passed from Customer Invoice to the Header Text field in Journal Entry YYY (where YYY stands for Journal Entry).

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Customer Invoice Work Center
  2. Open Customer Invoice XXX
  3. You have maintained Customer Information ABC and Internal Comment EFG in General tab.
  4. Go to General Ledger Work Center
  5. Open Journal Entry YYY
  6. The Header Text field is blank

Cause

Whichever field is edited last Internal Comment or Customer Information is taken over as Header Text in the journal entry.

This is because it is only possible to send one info text from the invoice to accounting and here the one that was edited last is taken over.

Resolution

You can manually maintain the text in Journal Entry or if you maintain in last text collection element then also it would be passed.
