2820800 - KUT Fields Of Type E-Mail Not Available As Placeholders In Workflow Rules

You want to use a KUT field of type E-Mail as placeholder in your workflow rule. The field is not available.

Prerequisite: You have created a KUT field ABC (ABC represents the field label) of type E-Mail for any business object (BO) DEF (DEF represents the name of the BO).

1. Go to the Administration work centre.
2. Go to the Workflow Rules view.
3. Click New.
4. Create a workflow rule for the BO DEF.

Result: the KUT field ABC is not available as placeholder.

KUT fields of type E-Mail are not supported for placeholders in workflows because of technical limitations.

KUT field of data type E-mail address is not supported since this is limitation from BRF+.

The alternate solution for this is to create the same fields of type text and store the e-mail address in them. These fields will appear as placeholders for workflow rules.
