This document will guide you on how to assign/change the User License Type for a business user in SAP Business ByDesign

SAP Business ByDesign

In SAP Business ByDesign, License Type or User License Type will be assigned based on the work center views assigned to a business user. Please note that license consumption will only be considered for the active business users in the productive tenant.

To assign License Type/User License Type to a business user based on the work center view, you can do as follows:

1. Log into the SAP Business ByDesign productive tenant.
2. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
3. Access the Business Users work center view.
4. Select the relevant user and click the Edit button, then select Access Rights.
5. Go to Work Center and View Assignment tab
6. You can see under the User Type column which type of license is associated to each work center view; select the checkbox for the work center views you want to assign to the user based on the license type.

You can also assign License Type/User License Type to a business user based on a business role:

1. Log into the SAP Business ByDesign productive tenant.
2. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
3. Access the Business Users work center view.
4. Select the relevant user and click the Edit button, then select Access Rights.
5. Go to Business Role Assignment tab.
6. Select the checkbox to assign one or more business role based on the information in the License Type column.
