2821839 - Employee Is Terminated but Their User Is Still Valid in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition systems, an employee is terminated but the user associated with this employee is still valid. This behavior occurs, for example, when a terminated employee is replicated from SAP SuccessFactors. You need to prevent this from happening since it could cause security risks.

This behavior is not an issue. Customers asked to be able to keep the users of terminated employees active in the system so we fulfilled their request.

If you need to change this behavior, several options are available. To limit the validity of a user and to change the date of "Valid to" field:

• Set the lock indicator for the user with the SAP Fiori app "Maintain Business Users".
• Delete the user in Fiori App "Maintain Business Users".
• Change the validity of the user manually.
• Remove all roles from the user via SAP IAG.
• Change the value of this field via the integration scenario SAP_COM_0093 from an external corporate IDP.

Choose one of the options listed above to change the user validity so that the user is longer active.
