2822425 - S/4HANA: DBSQL_REDIRECT_INCONSISTENCY dump when accessing /SAPAPO/MATKEY due to inconsistency with PRDSCMMATKEY

Symptom

  • ABAP short dump DBSQL_REDIRECT_INCONSISTENCY occurs when accessing table /SAPAPO/MATKEY in SAP S/4HANA.
  • ST22 may show failing programs such as /SAPAPO/SAPLDM_MATERIAL or /1BCDWB/DB/SAPAPO/MATKEY.
  • Error text indicates the definitions of /SAPAPO/MATKEY and PRDSCMMATKEY are not consistent.
  • A simple SELECT on /SAPAPO/MATKEY can cause the dump.
  • The issue is seen when displaying the table in SE16, opening a product in /SAPAPO/MAT1, or changing a material flagged as an Advanced Planning product in MM
