2822480 - SOCKS5 proxy connectivity errors in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)


Access to On-Premise systems via the SAP BTP Connectivity SOCKS5 proxy TCP-based protocol fails with SOCKS: Network unreachable error:

Caused by: org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: Could not open connection
Caused by: Cannot connect to host [SOCKS: Network unreachable] None of the hosts could be reached: [Cannot connect to host <hostname> SOCKS: Network unreachable Unexpected error occurred in scheduled task
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Problem while retrieving configuration
Caused by: Error while reading destination configuration with name < destination name >
Caused by: SOCKS: Connection not allowed by ruleset

Or SocksClientError: Socks5 proxy rejected connection
