What is the subject of such emails?
Their subjects will be "SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing (or Management) - Contractual Maintenance Period - Announcement

Why are there such maintenance periods?
The email itself states that we may need such periods in order to keep our systems and applications current and secure. Some sorts of environment updates are not possible without the down time. The best way we found to lessen their impact over our clients is by scheduling these maintenance periods to graveyard shifts in the environment time zone and email users about it, so they may take it into consideration too.

Who on the client side will receive email notifications for future down times?
Every client admin user. Usually, the same users that would have permission to open support incidents.

What happens to Recruiting Management (RCM) during these periods?
RCM is one of our SFSF BizX modules. Just like the other modules, it will be working in an intermittent basis during the maintenance period and users may get the below message at times, while operating the system:

This message is also displayed to candidate trying to apply to jobs in the clients' RCM external career site.

What happens to Recruiting Marketing (RMK) during these periods?
External candidates operating the clients' RMK website can be temporarily redirected to the clients' RCM external career site and then, receive the very same message mentioned above.

Is it possible to customize the "Scheduled Maintenance" message?
We currently have no tool within our system that would allow us to customize this message. If you would like to suggest a change to that, we would be glad to have your ideas submitted through our enhancement request process.

IMPORTANT: Although the maintenance window is usually stated as around 5 hours long, the critical period where we have the above message being displayed the most is in most of times no longer than 60 minutes.
