2823149 - Recalculate amounts in local currency when using function "Similar Journal Entry"

Symptom

You create a journal entry using function Similar Journal Entry with reference to an original Journal Entry. You changed the transaction currency amount in the new journal entry, but the local currency amount is not updated. It just copied the same amount from the original one.

Environment

  • Financial Accounting (FI)
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
  • SAP Fiori 

Reproducing the Issue

  • In app Manage Journal Entries, select one Journal Entry
  • Click button 'new' and select 'Similar Journal Entry'
  • Change amount and post

Resolution

You need to select option "Recalculate amounts in local currency" if you want to local currency to be updated as well.
